Delegation from the Construction and Transportation Committee of the Incheon Metropolitan Council of the Republic of Korea visited the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA SA), involved in a discussion on port operations and the development of the shipping sector.
During the visit, the eleven members’ delegation, led by the Chairperson of the Daejung Kim Committee, met with PPA SA Su Xudong CEO and senior company officials. Special emphasis is placed on the growth of the sustainable shipping industry in Piraeus, which has seen passenger traffic that breaks the record and increases homeport activity. Investment in infrastructure and technology has played a key role in this expansion, with pre-orders for 2025 which has shown other potential record years.
The visit provides a platform for exchanging insights on port management and in other interesting fields, confirming the increasing role of the Port of Piraeus in the Global Port Industry.
