Erik Thun Group has officially launched Nossan, the third ship in the innovative Lake Väning Max series, strengthens its commitment to sustainable and efficient shipping. Built at the famous Ferus Smit shipyard, Nossan continued the inheritance which began in 1989 when the first ship containing the name was built. This latest addition, the 46th ship from the same shipyard, is designed to optimize cargo transportation across Sweden and inland waterways and coastal Europe.
“With the launch of Nossan, we took another step towards a greener future for maritime transportation,” said Johan Källsson, Director of Executive in Erik Thun Group. “This ship is proof of our sustainable investment in the latest technology and sustainable solutions that reduce our environmental footprints while maintaining the highest operational standards.”
The Vätern Max Lake series is designed to navigate the unique demands of Swedish and European water channels while providing higher efficiency and lower emissions. By introducing Nossan, Erik Thun Group continued the old mission to innovate, invest, and lead in the delivery responsible for the environment. When the Erik Thun group advanced its sustainability agenda, the company invited industrial leaders, policy makers, and stakeholders to join in shaping the future of maritime logistics.
